Gingham Brigade

Whenever spring and early summer rolls around, there are a few fabrics I’m continually on the hunt for because they just feel so appropriate. Luckily this year, one of those fabrics is in plentiful supply. I’m talking about picnic-style gingham, which appears in the smattering of items I’ve highlighted above – but in my searches I actually found many, many more examples I could have shared with you. If you want to get into the spring of things, then look no further!

1 State Gingham Skirt – $86 @ Hudson’s Bay: This slightly punky / schoolgirl twist on gingham can be dressed down for an edgier look or dressed up for a pretty preppy style.

Pretty as a Picnic Dress in Gingham – $99.99 @ ModCloth: The ultimate in picnic ‘couture’, this sweet cotton dress is fair trade and totally fetching.

Blue Gingham My First Anywhere Chair – $89 @ Pottery Barn Kids: This cute, customizable chairs come in a range of colours and can be embroidered with your little one’s name. A perfect place to snuggle up and read on a rainy spring day.

Michael Kors Gingham iPhone Case – $50 @ Nordstrom: Deck out your cell phone for the season with this preppy pretty cell phone case for the iPhone 6.

SUCK UK Bear Skin Gingham Picnic Blanket – $52 @ Amazon.ca: I couldn’t write a gingham post and not include some sort of picnic blanket reference – so here you go, a quirky take on a bearskin rug meets picnic blanket that even Yogi would be jealous of.

Skirted Gingham Maillot – $298 @ Anthropologie: A little bit vintage, a little bit country, a whole lotta cute is what you’ll be in this stylish one-piece.
